A SPARK OF HOPE CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING
Our foundation conducted a significant study to explore the profound impact of granting wishes on children with critical illnesses and their families. This research offered measurable insights into how the wish experience influences not only emotional well-being but also resilience and overall quality of life for children and their loved ones.
Over time, the study expanded to include a larger group of wish recipients, their families, and healthcare professionals. The findings reveal that the wish experience plays a pivotal role in promoting physical, emotional, and mental health. Participants reported that wishes:
- Became a vital part of the medical treatment journey, enhancing recovery chances, supporting better health outcomes, and providing renewed strength and hope.
- Increased feelings of joy, confidence, self-esteem, and overall well-being during challenging times.
- Served as a critical coping mechanism, often marking a turning point in the treatment process.
- Fostered stronger family bonds and deepened connections with loved ones.
- Helped alleviate feelings of stress, hopelessness, and isolation.
This research highlights the transformative power of wishes to inspire hope, provide strength, and build lasting joy for children and families navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges.

OUR MISSION
One of the most important areas of our activities is our cooperation with the Children's Health Centre. As the Children's Foundation, we signed an agreement with this institution in 2010 and since then we have been financing parents' overnight stays at the beds of children staying at the Centre. We only help those children whose financial situation is particularly difficult. Our aim is to help sick children and their families and to promote and protect the health of children and young people. We primarily care for children from Poland. We help children and families who, due to difficult material conditions, are unable to bear the costs of treatment. The Foundation has been operating since 2019 in accordance with the Law on Public Benefit Activity and Volunteerism and is registered in the National Court Register. Our wards also have the opportunity to use the nursing and care shelters located at the centres. As a result, our charges come from all over Poland with their parents for rehabilitation holidays.
We make every effort to help children in need. We support their fight for life, health, well-being and a better future. We are convinced that it is worth helping!
THANK YOU TO ALL REGULAR DONORS. We focus on children in need of support due to the life situations they find themselves in, with a particular focus on those from orphanages and dysfunctional families across Poland. We invest in the child as an individual, support talents, nurture health and broaden the horizons of children and young people by funding extra-curricular activities, tutoring, scholarships for academic performance or helping them with therapy and transition into adulthood.
We work closely with Children's Homes, Probation Service, MOPS and MOPR.
Thanks to several years of experience in working with children from institutions, we know that wise support should be carefully planned and ‘tailor-made’ for the individual child.
We look forward to working with you and helping you wisely!
We also support young people's professional development, often offering apprenticeships, e.g. as a seamstress, forklift operator, barista or subsidising driving licence courses.
We also organise workshops with famous and inspiring people, educational and literary meetings, trips and excursions, because we also want to inspire, develop and show new perspectives.
All of this is also possible thanks to the huge hearts of our volunteers, who support the charges free of charge by teaching them English or science subjects - in person and online.
Our activities are not limited to Poland. For several years we have been supporting the education of children in India by helping to build a school, and we also organise English language conversations for children in Africa.
We try to respond on an ongoing basis to the needs reported by institutions, family orphanages and young people themselves. However, the list of those in need is very long and the training and studies extremely expensive.
That is why we are constantly looking for partners, sponsors, volunteers and individual donors to help us achieve our mission.
